<image:title>About - Passion & playfulness I am a person of passion, depth, and playfulness. I enjoy cooking, dancing, being in nature, snuggling with my hairless cats, and spending time with my beloved family and friends. I grew up in a large blended family in Arvada, Colorado and was an avid competitive gymnast for fifteen years. After high school, I went to nursing school where I found a passion for maternal child health and family systems. After graduation in 2011, I worked as a labor and delivery nurse for one year, then moved to public health for four years where I was a nurse in a program called the Nurse-Family Partnership, which supports first-time mothers and their families as they enter their first two years of parenthood. I became well versed in parent-child relationships, interactions, bonding, and infant mental health. I also learned several counseling techniques which I loved, and in 2018 this propelled my desire to go back to grad school to study expressive arts therapy and counseling psychology. I began my career in psychotherapy with a year-long internship at The Mariposa Center in Denver, Colorado where I worked with children and families on issues such as trauma, anxiety, grief/loss, adoption, attachment concerns, body awareness, regulation, impulse control, and building healthy relationships.</image:title>

<image:title>About - Kelsey Albert</image:title>
<image:caption>I found my way to private practice through many life experiences and circumstances, which includes my own struggles and healing journey. As a child, I survived trauma, loss, and abandonment by my father, which naturally created false beliefs about myself and patterns to back them up. In early adulthood, I married young and found myself in an entangled trap of self-abandonment, isolation, and toxic relationships. Screaming for a change and a need to escape the chaos robbing me of life, I decided to divorce and walked a new pathway of single parenthood and self-discovery. One step at a time, while holding on to hope and curiosity, I confronted my past and my programming. I came to question everything I had ever known. Exploration and healing became my deepest friend, and listening with my heart became my highest priority. I learned we heal in and through healthy relationships. I learned connection with self and connection with others lights our way home. I believe we all have the capacity to heal and grow. Sometimes, we feel alone, but I am here to remind you, loved ones are always near, whether we can see them or not.</image:caption>

<image:title>Services - Family Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>We are biologically built for bonding and it is our innate desire to be loved and accepted by our family. Sometimes, family life does not feel smooth and understanding does not come easy. However, when a family is supported and on the same page…. children and adults will thrive. I assist families to explore differences and come to understandings. I offer parenting support, sibling support, and therapy to extended family members looking to improve dynamics and heal intergenerational wounds. I use a variety of approaches in my family sessions based on family needs and interests, including play, expressive arts, and creative-arts modalities. "The need for connection and community and the desire to be a part of meaningful and responsive relationships is at the heart of human experience.” - Judith V. Jordan, Ph.D.</image:caption>

<image:title>Services - Child and Adolescent Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>Using the power of play, creative-arts, and therapeutic relationship I assist children to process their stories, emotions, and development new skills to face their challenges. I work with children on a variety of issues, including attachment, anxiety, low self-esteem, abandonment, adoption, trauma, grief, loss, ADHD, ASD/autism, emotional & nervous system regulation. Children naturally express themselves through play and gives them a platform to express their inner world. Through play and expressive arts therapy, children can build new skills and inner resources in safe and empowering ways. “Before a child speaks, it sings. Before they write, they paint. As soon as they stand, they dance. Art is the basis of human expression.” - Phylicia Rashad</image:caption>

<image:title>Services - Adult Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>Every individual is unique, and thus, their therapy journey is unique! I celebrate individuality and tailor my approach based on personal needs and goals. The expressive arts in psychotherapy further support personalization of therapeutic practice and bring voice to internal objects that do not speak. The arts are ancestral, authentic, non-judgmental, and natural. When given the opportunity, the arts express to us what we once kept locked inside. It is through this process, that art becomes a way to inner knowing, connection, meaning, and healing. I work with individuals as they seek change through exploring attachment issues, traumas, negative patterns, anxiety, depression, external pressures, and societal systems. “Everything you want is just outside your comfort zone.” - Robert Allen</image:caption>

<image:caption>I work with couples through exploring relational patterns that are holding them back from deep connection. As unique individuals, we are destined to bump. It’s not the bumping itself that is the problem, but how in which we do it. I assist my clients to explore power dynamics, communication, nervous system responses, past experiences, and unconscious behaviors so they can show up with each other through intention and equality. If a couple decides to part ways, I help guide them to do so in loving, conscious ways. “Curiosity is the bridge to unity.” - Mark Groves</image:caption>

<image:title>About (Archive) - Passion & playfulness I am a person of passion, depth, and playfulness.
